ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Job Purpose:
The Accounting Manager is a working manager responsible for the accounting quality, staff, and client relationships across a portfolio of fractional client engagements. The role prepares the monthly financial reporting package for assigned clients and reviews and signs off on the month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by Senior and Staff Accountants, while directly owning the most complex accounting judgments, non-routine transactions, and client-facing conversations. The Accounting Manager builds and develops the accounting team, standardizes processes across client engagements, ensures U.S. GAAP compliance across multiple client environments, and serves as the primary escalation point between engagement staff and the Controller/CFO.
Scope flexes with client needs, including hands-on bookkeeping- or accountant-level work such as processing AP or client invoices.
STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Job Purpose:
The Staff Accountant supports the day-to-day accounting and monthly close for multiple fractional client engagements. Working under the direction of the Accounting Manager and senior team members, the role processes transactions, prepares reconciliations and routine journal entries, maintains accurate records, and helps assemble timely client reporting. The position combines hands-on accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and client inquiry support with opportunities to build accounting judgment, improve workflows, and learn different client systems.
