James M. Porterfield III (Tripp)

Consulting CFO

Tripp is a Consulting CFO for the NAVIGATE CFO Services team. He brings over 20 years of accounting and finance experience, having worked with small to large companies across a variety of industries including healthcare, aerospace manufacturing, software, and food processing & distribution. Tripp’s background allows him to provide a comprehensive understanding of financial intricacies, while also thinking strategically and offering guidance that enhances a client's operational and financial performance.

Tripp received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Wake Forest University. He later received an MBA in Finance from Rollins College, and then a Master in Accounting (MAcc) from the University of Florida.

Outside of Navigate, Tripp sits on the Board for the Florida Pancreas Cancer Coalition. He also enjoys playing tennis & golf, hunting, and spending time with his wife and two children.
